Brunei businesses are invited to attend the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ABIS) 2018 taking place this November 12 to 13 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

Organized by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), ABIS will be held alongside the ASEAN summit and is expected to feature the Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohd and Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha as keynote speakers.

The theme of this year’s ABIS is Building Tomorrow, Connecting Today which looks to offer a platform for the business community to engage with their regional counterparts and leaders as well as deliberate current issues within ASEAN’s business and investment environment.

Key topics at the summit are ASEAN economic integration, urban development and smart cities, digitalisation, women in industry 4.0, sustainability and the future of family business.

Invited guests include the heads of state of Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, USA, Vietnam, Australia and Japan.

ASEAN-BAC was established in 2001 as a council that would represent the ASEAN’s private sector and play a key role in reviewing and identifying issues in economic cooperation and integration for the consideration of ASEAN leaders.
