Darussalam Enterprise’s (DARe) Brunei MSME Festival will return for its second edition this March 16 to 19 at Bridex with 211 exhibitors.

Back after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the festival offers an affordable platform for local brands to showcase their products and services, while also encouraging the wider public to learn about doing business.

The event will run from 9am to 9pm across Hall 1 and 2, featuring 190 Brunei-based businesses and 21 national agencies overseeing different business processes.

Running alongside the exhibitor showcase will be 20 business seminars and a conference; covering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the sharing of business opportunities and processes.

Visitors can also enjoy interactive activities by Seria Energy Lab and Apex Racing.

Vendors are grouped into six categories: food services; food manufacturing; handicraft, fashion and textiles; healthcare and beauty; home and lifestyle; and services.

Reflecting on how the pandemic has altered the economic landscape, the MSME Festival carries the theme ‘DARe to Innovative: Growth & Reslience through Innovation’ which will be explored through a dedicated conference on Thursday at 2pm at Hall 1, alongside supporting seminars throughout the four-day event.

The conference will feature a panel discussion with CEO of local IT company Nextacloud Technologies Agus Muslim, Director of Research Promotion at Japan’s Kyushua University Scott Valentine and Director of Business Innovation Centre at Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency Sansanee Huabsomboon.

Meanwhile the seminars feature a mix of government and national agencies explaining business processes and opportunities, and entrepreneurs speaking on the latest industry trends.

Though walk-ins to the conference or seminars are welcome, visitors can reserve their spots through DARe’s eventbrite.

DARe will also be hosting business matching sessions for exhibitors and select companies; with a local session featuring distributors and retailers Ben Foods, Seri Nova, Ghanim, Malar Setia and Teeyem Majeed; as well as an international session with buyers from Singapore, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.
