Brunei businesses looking to expand regionally are invited to apply for the first Brunei Week in Singapore, taking place at the Grand Market at Suntec Convention Centre from September 5 to 7.

The Grand Market, organised by MakBesar, is one of Singapore’s largest consumer lifestyle events, featuring 200 vendors that draw 70,000 visitors over three days.

The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) is partnering with MakBesar to host Brunei Week through a dedicated national pavilion at the event featuring 20 local brands.

Participating businesses will benefit from national branding, on-site marketing, and exposure to a wider international audience, with the opportunity to engage directly with consumers, distributors, and other potential commercial partners in Singapore.

Booth space and sea freight—up to 1.5 cubic meters per exhibitor—will be sponsored by BEDB. Selected participants will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and any additional logistics or requirements.

Eligible businesses must have Brunei-branded products, with the following categories targeted: food and beverage, home and lifestyle, fashion and textile, or beauty and personal care.

The Brunei Week is part of wider efforts by BEDB, through its Enterprise Development arm DARe, to support local businesses in expanding abroad.

Market access initiatives in Singapore have already led to export shipments to Mustafa Centre and, more recently, Aliya Rizq. Further negotiations are underway to connect with additional distributors and retailers.

Applications to join Brunei Week are open at www.bedb.gov.bn/bruneiweek and close on July 7 at 5 p.m. Only shortlisted companies will be contacted. For more information, email export@dare.gov.bn or visit the application page.
