Brunei micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are invited to take part in the 2017 edition of the Tampines Hari Raya Bazaar in Singapore from May 27 to June 23.
Two local businesses will have the opportunity to feature in Brunei’s booth each week, allowing for a total of eight MSMEs to participate.
The eight shortlisted companies will receive sponsorship for booth space, accommodation for one week as well as shipment of items.
Applications are open to businesses with halal products – from food to cosmetics – as well as fashion and Islamic related services such as education, IT and publications.
Brunei businesses first participated at the annual event, to be held this year at the Tampines Hub and organised by Singapore’s Malay Activity Executive Committee, in 2015, joining other international vendors including those from Turkey.
The bazaar, held during the month of Ramadhan, caters primarily to selling food products and fashion items in anticipation of the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, and provides a platform for local businesses from Brunei to test and validate their product in an overseas market.
This opportunity for Bruneian businesses is organized by Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (EIDPMO), with the support of Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MoFAT).
