Entrepreneurship Open Day this Friday!

Learn about the processes, support and experience from the public and private sector in starting, running and growing a business

Whether you’re curious about entrepreneurship – or have already embarked on your own entrepreneurial journey – Darussalam Enterprise’s (DARe) Entrepreneurship Open Day (EOD) this Friday will be bringing together the public and private sector to provide knowledge and support on the processes needed to start, run and grow your business.

Hosted at the Anggerek Desa Technology Park (ADTP), EOD will see Big Begawan Cookout bringing together 20 micro, small and medium (MSME) businesses set up shop at the Design and Technology building and another 13 at iCentre.

Talks will begin at 8.30am by DARe at the Design and Technology building – who will cover what support and opportunities they can provide, from financing to land to training – before presentations by the Halal Food Control Division and Department of Agriculture and Agrifood on certifications and labelling.

At the same time, Ikatan Pengusaha Muslimah Indonesia (IPEMI)a community organization from Indonesia that looks to promote and connect women Muslim entrepreneurs, will be giving a talk from 9.30am to 11.30am on opportunities to partner at the Knowledge Hub, located within walking distance of the Design and Technology building.

In the afternoon at 2.30pm, up and coming MSMEs who have began as home businesses and now run their own commercial storefront – Rumah Gelato (bottom R), ZahraCallista (top L) and Sweet as Sara (bottom L) – will talk about how they made their transition, while at 3.30pm, founder of BattlePro Marketing and Management Services and Letop Lebaran Syed Yassin (top R) will deliver a session on marketing.

Business consultant Suhbe Co will also be on hand from 8.30am to 4.30pm at iCentre to give free coaching clinics on creative and branding, food and beverages, supply chain and procurement, information communication technology and app and web development.

The 16 government agencies under the Business Support Centre at Level 1 of the Design and Technology building will continue to run for those looking to learn or inquire about business processes, with BIBD SME 360 also on hand to provide information on business financing.
