Pra Letop looks to strengthen youth entrepreneurship

Battle Pro Marketing and Management Services continue to build their sales bazaar brand Letop with the first Pra Letop launched earlier today at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas geared towards young entrepreneurs.

30 of the 40 vendors participating in the event – which runs until Sunday – are young local entrepreneurs selling a wide range of retail, from fresh to packaged food and beverage, clothing, fashion accessories and health and beauty supplements.

“With Pra Letop we are expanding our Letop event series to a more affordable scale for young entrepreneurs,” said Battle Pro founder Syed Hj Syed Mohd Yassin Hj Syed Anayatullah Shah. “This especially helps the online vendors who don’t have a physical store yet meet customers and test the market.”

Pra Letop’s is the fourth and most affordable iteration of Battle Pro’s crowd-pulling Letop events, which began with pre-Hari Raya sale Letop Lebaran in 2016, followed by the Year End Sale (YES) Letop, and the wedding-themed Kahwin Letop.

The majority of Pra Letop’s vendors are micro and small enterprises who rely heavily on digital marketing and presence to drive orders and business, and look to sales bazaars like Letop as stepping stones to progress towards running their own storefronts.

Founder of eyewear company Alora collections Khairul Azmi Hj Metussin – who sell private label sunglasses – said that Battle Pro’s events have been critical in their business achieving the sale of their thousandth pair of sunglasses.

“This is the third Battle Pro event that I’ve joined and it’s been a great way to meet customers and show them our entire range,” said Khairul Azmi, who also offers special promotions during events. “With more of these events, we build our confidence as well as our sales, and Insyallah we can now work towards opening our own store in the future.”

Co-founder of modest fashion wear Covered By AnNisa Hani Masir (pictured below) said they continue to join events, despite having opened their own storefront in 2016 at the Giant Rimba Complex, to continuously build their customer base.

“With events, there’s an opportunity to network and meet new customers outside your normal space,” said Hani. “With Letop events, there’s a strong crowd coming, so it’s also possible to even make a month’s sales in just a few days. They (Battle Pro) really push the marketing of the event well.”

Pra Letop is running from 10am to 10pm until Sunday, with the exception of Friday, where the event is open from 2pm onwards.
