Darussalam Assets’ (DA) newly launched digital procurement platform procure.bn aims to centralise purchasing opportunities across its group of companies, having already onboarded over 700 suppliers.

Twelve DA companies joined the pilot phase, which went live in November last year, with a phased rollout planned across the entire DA group of over 30 government-owned companies.

At the launch of procure.bn on October 9, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) and DA CEO Dato Seri Paduka Hj Khairuddin Hj Abd Hamid said centralising DA’s procurement digitally would improve efficiency, transparency and access to opportunity.

“We are laying the foundation for a smarter, more inclusive way to do business – one that encourages healthy competition, stronger supplier partnerships and sustainable growth across industries,” he said at the launch ceremony at Indera Samudra, The Empire.

“It turns manual effort into digital clarity and anecdotal decisions into evidence-based actions. Whether you are a small chilli farmer or a leading international equipment provider, whether you operate on a modest scale or manage a large enterprise, procure.bn offers the opportunity to supply and be part of this ecosystem.”

With DA’s portfolio spanning leading players in Brunei’s telecommunications, food and beverage, healthcare, accommodation, hospitality and other service sectors, procure.bn is expected to become a major repository of business opportunities.

Developed by Comquest, a joint venture between DA and Oman’s Bahwan CyberTek, the platform enables DA’s companies to manage procurement from end to end — from supplier registration and tender posting to contract completion. Buyers can issue requests for quotation or proposal, while suppliers can bid, upload compliance documents and track progress online.

DA’s Senior Information Technology Services Manager Apruv Sharma said procure.bn also allows suppliers to showcase their products through an e-commerce-style directory. The platform includes supplier-performance dashboards and digital tools for contract, invoice and work verification.

He added that the system integrates due-diligence and compliance checks with secure user-access controls, ensuring standardised and transparent processes across the DA group.

The 12 companies in the initial rollout are Armada Properties; Bandtree; Berakas Power Company; Brunei Engineering, Logistics and Training Solutions; Brunei International Air Cargo Centre; Darussalam Assets; Ghanim International Corporation; Jerudong Park Medical Centre; The Empire; Progresif; Royal Brunei Culinary; and Unified National Networks.
