Entrepreneurship Open Day (EOD) is back for its biggest iteration yet – with 52 budding businesses showcasing their latest products and services at the Anggerek Desa Technology Park (ADTP) this Friday from 8am to 8pm.
An initiative by the national body for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), EOD will also feature a full day of open sharing sessions at the Design and Technology (D&T) building, beginning at 9am with a talk covering how to certify health and beauty products with the Ministry of Health (MOH), followed by a session on how to trademark your brand and designs – locally and internationally – by the Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO).
Health and beauty companies Wira Bina, Asy Syifaa and As Salwaa Beauty (MuKaKu Cosmetics) will then take to the stage with representatives from MOH and BruIPO to discuss the latest opportunities and issues – as well as open the floor to questions from the public.
Marketing guru Dean Green will kick off the afternoon’s session at 2.30pm by outlining how companies can establish brands and market themselves through the latest online and offline channels.
The entrepreneurs behind the locally made Bee Scarves and natural cosmetics brand MuKaKu will then have the opportunity to showcase their products through a headscarves tutorial and skincare demonstration.
At 4pm, founders of homestay Kunyit7Lodge, handcrafted jewelry YKS Crafts and fashion house Butik Delima will host a session on the modern womenpreneur – opening up on their challenges in starting their own businesses, and how they balanced business, family and career.
Business consultancy firm Startup Hub Bimp-EAGA (SUHBE Co.) will be hosting free business clinics from 8am to 5pm at Level 1 of D&T, with DARe and government help desks also open for inquiries and consultations.
EOD will break between 12pm to 2.30pm for Friday Prayers. ADTP is located at the end of Simpang 32-37 in Kg Anggerek Desa.
